Santa is coming to town...

For Abby...here's Madonna.

I love Abby and I am so glad that she's better now. *HUGS*

Wow, it's December already. It's been a very distracting couple of weeks. Always something to do or I'm not in the mood to get online and update.

Trying to get my Christmas shopping done and I only have Joy left to buy for, but have to wait till Friday when I get paid. And I've really been putting hers off till last because I'm going for a naught gift and I have to go to a special store for that. So that will be taken care of this week and I'm done and don't have to worry about money for awhile.

But I've realized that in January, I must look for a part time job. Joy's classes will only be during the day next semester and she won't be working as much. So, not as much of a need for a babysitter. Plus, I have to find a job once I move anyway. Might as well have that done before.

More than likely will have to do what I've said I'd never do...work in a fast food restaurant. Seems to be the only thing hiring around here. Either that or work where my dad works. Pay is good, but I hate factory work. The chicken place decided it for me. We'll just have to see.

Anyway, Saturday my friends had a Christmas party. These are my friends from high school, not the naked ones. April and her daughter, Camren was there. She's adorable and I can't believe she'll be 1 year old next month. Catherine brought her daughter, Lauren. She's a talkative little 3 year old and as soon as she saw me, she ran up to me, screamed "Hi Tessa!" and gave me a big hug.

And Stacy has the cute little belly. This is the first time I'd seen her since she started showing. I think she's almost 6 months pregnant now. I'm excited, another little girl. We have to plan her baby shower next month, I guess.

I came out good on the gifts. All sorts of lotions and bath stuff. Most people wouldn't take me for someone into all the girly stuff, but I like my bubble baths.

I ended up getting everyone some bath stuff and I got them a calendar and wrote all of their birthdays on it. Because, seriously, I am the only one who can ever remember anyone's birthday. So, maybe this year they can remember without asking me.

Saturday night, I also went to the gay bar. Had an alright time. Didn't get drunk and do anything crazy. Had a nice slow dance with Sammy, some Marvin Gaye "Let's Get it On". You know, a good song. Had my picture taken on Santa's lap. All around good night.

This week I also have to get stamps and mail a few cards out to people in different parts of the country, some online buddies.

And also, I have to mail a copy of the book Gone With the Wind, to Brandy. I have no idea where her 6 copies of it went but I have 2 and told her I'd send her the paperback. We've suddenly started talking everyday. She no longer works and guess what, some guy is taking care of her AGAIN. That doesn't surprise me. I don't know it for sure, but I'll take a wild guess and say he's married. That's what she does. Whatever.

I don't mind talking to her, but then I start to miss her and I know that's not good. I've come a loooong way since that ended and I REALLY don't want to go back to the very pathetic I was. I'm not going to call her unless I have a reason, which I shouldn't. She's the one that calls me.

Anyway, I'm tired and thankfully these babies are taking a nap.
